Ballast Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

The short version

Ballast does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to Seven Alpha Labs. Your progress is a file on your own device. We have no proprietary account system, server, analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. Optional platform leaderboards use Apple Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android, as described below. Nobody at Seven Alpha Labs can see how you play, or that you play.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers the Ballast game app on iOS and Android, published by Seven Alpha Labs. It does not cover the App Store, Google Play, Apple Game Center, or Google Play Games; those services have their own privacy policies and are described in sections 4 through 6.

2. Information we collect

None for Seven Alpha Labs. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or a device identifier. The app requests no runtime permissions. There is no crash reporting SDK, analytics SDK, or advertising SDK in the build. If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, those platform services process the profile and leaderboard information needed to provide that service under their own policies; we do not receive or retain it.

3. What the app stores on your device

Ballast saves your game locally: which legs you have flown, your medals and best cargo values, your daily-route results, your hangar and upgrade choices, your settings, and whether Full Unlock has been purchased.

That file never leaves your device except through your own operating system backup, if you have one turned on. It is covered by Apple's or Google's backup encryption, not ours, and we cannot read it. If you delete the app, the save goes with it, and we have no copy to restore.

4. Purchases

Full Unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card, billing address, or store account. The app asks the store whether this device has the purchase and gets back yes or no. That answer is all the app receives, and it is not sent to us.

5. Optional platform leaderboards

If you choose to use a platform leaderboard, Ballast submits two daily-route scores: your deliveries for today, and your deliveries over the last thirty days. On iOS this uses Apple Game Center. On Android this uses Google Play Games and requires that you choose to sign in to Play Games.

To show a leaderboard, the Android app may read the Play Games player identifier, display name, rank, and score returned by Google Play Games. If you select a friends leaderboard, Google Play Games uses its friends leaderboard collection for that view. On iOS, your Game Center nickname and leaderboard appearance are controlled by your Apple ID settings.

This information and these scores go to Apple or Google, not to Seven Alpha Labs. We do not operate a leaderboard server or keep a copy. You can play the entire game without signing in; if you do not use Game Center or Play Games, no leaderboard score is submitted.

6. Information collected by platform services

Apple and Google collect their own data about downloads, purchases, crashes, and optional platform services under their own privacy policies. Where they show information to us, it is aggregate: for example, how many people installed the game in a country or bought Full Unlock. We cannot identify an individual player from it, and we do not try.

7. Sharing and selling

We have no player data to share or sell. We do not sell data, share data with advertisers or data brokers, or use any player-tracking service.

8. Deleting your information

Delete the app to remove the information Ballast stores locally. There is no Seven Alpha Labs account to close and no request to send us. To remove platform leaderboard scores, use the applicable Apple Game Center or Google Play Games settings.

9. Children

Ballast is suitable for all ages. We collect nothing from anyone, including children. It contains no advertising, chat, user-generated content, or links out of the game other than to this site. Optional platform services are governed by Apple's and Google's respective account settings and policies.

10. Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts collecting something for Seven Alpha Labs, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We will not quietly widen it.
